Filthy Dom

Dom, the proverbial bedroom DJ was dragged kicking and screaming into the world of underground techno, through a dreadful chance encounter. A longtime attendee of many of the stellar techno events at the Marcus Garvey centre, Dom was no stranger to Nottingham’s thriving party scene. He had even attended his fair share of Pure Filth parties, often having to leave early to carry Monica back home.

So it came as something of a surprise one Filthy weekend, when Small Paul and Ian, called round armed with bottles of Vodka and god knows what else. in hand called round one morning for post Filth breakfast chillout, that we should find that Dom not only had a full set of decks and a mixer, but a vast collection of neatly stored techno records and more than a modicum of skill on the ones and twos.

Naturally, what with Paul calling round to utilise such great facilities with alarming regularity it wasn’t long before Dom came to the inevitable solution that if you can’t beat them then you might as well join ‘em!

Since then Dom has become the driving force behind the night and really deserves all the credit for keeping things ago amidst the general ‘lunch-out’ that is the usual Filthy way. As well as keeping the night on track, together with Filthy Dave he has built and continues to add to the Filthy rig that has literally been shaking the foundations of BluePrint over the last year .
