Manifesto is aiming to transform Nottingham's nightlife. We've had it up to here with the same old trendy student nights, pretentious promoters and extortionate entry prices, perhaps you have too? then read on...
We're going to be running a series of events around Nottingham with the simple aim of giving something back. We'll be providing the finest music, the best party atmosphere and at the lowest prices possible.Welcome to Manifesto.
With their open music policy, and integrity towards Nottingham party goers Manifesto were a natural choice to host a room at Pure Filth showcasing some of Nottingham’s finest funk, soul, hip hop, reggae, dub and dubstep. Here’s the roster of artists and DJs that will be bringing that deep soulful groove to proceedings.
Furious P & Dyrtlewax
Twice DMC finalist, Furious P is a true wizard on the turntables. With support from Dyrtlewax’s Dirty Joe and Rico these guys always get things bumping.
Rigbee Deep
Three local crate diggers unite under the Manifesto flag to bring you the finest in organic party music… ‘Minister Hill’ is likely to be found grinning at the lovely slice of deep soul or funk he’s just served up, whilst Jah Bundy is more at home nodding his head to a monstrous reggae beat. Completing the trio Nowhere Common throws a diverse selection of hip hop into the melting pot. Best bring your dancing feet…
Ether
Sound engineer, producer, DJ. Ether can’t hear you - The dubstep’s too loud.
Constant Bob
A true recluse, Constant Bob lives in a generic garden shed somewhere in the Midlands. He has a laptop powered by an old exercise bike, which he uses exclusively to track down bass, in whatever form it may come… It’s rare to see him in the outside world, but he finds it hard to resist the lure of a huge stack of speakers…
DAT
After a glittering (or grimy) career as part of Pollen sound and as a resident at Visionary three years ago DAT is coming out of retirement to support the revolution…
Check back later for details of more residents joining the revolution.
