Mark Turner

Mark co-runs the Highly popular Techno label PLAYER and also holds a residence at the UK’s longest running techno night the Orbit in Leeds. He’s also been known to have occasionally sold good tunes at some shop called Eastern Bloc Records in Manchester. The future will see more ass rocking techno releases from Player plus Mark is currently working on an off-shoot of Player called Pusher which will concentrate on a techno hip hop fusion which will shake dancefloors in 2004..

Player was founded in the autumn of 2000 by the UK’s premier techno producers and djs, to collectively unleash their seriously ill beats under one flag, as one force being greater than the sum of its parts. Nameless and faceless, so as to underline the quality of the label in it’s own right, rather than relying on the already established reputations of it’s whole team.

Player also sought to cut through the bullshit that was/is techno purism, by taking the sound and the scene back towards its roots, fusing elements of hip-hop house, funk and R’n'B to create the freshest sound in club music today.
